What you approve on screen is exactly what we print, with no proof to wait on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eThe route\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe track leaves Cradle Mountain at Ronny Creek and runs south past Waterfall Valley and Lake Windermere, on through the Pelion Plains under Mount Oakleigh, then down through Kia Ora and Windy Ridge to finish at Narcissus Hut on the northern tip of Lake St Clair.  Since 2005 a booking system has capped the track at 60 walkers a day between October and May, everyone setting out from Cradle Mountain and walking south, roughly the ground Gustav Weindorfer had in mind when his 1922 proposal turned the land between the mountain and the lake into a single protected reserve.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt Narcissus Hut the walk is not quite over: from there it is another day on foot around the lake's western shore, or a booked place on the small Ida Clair ferry, a thirty minute crossing to Cynthia Bay that most walkers choose.
