Where We First Met starts with one point: a bar, a train platform, a street corner, or a university lawn. You give us the address or drop a pin, and the streets around it become a heart, with your spot at the centre.
The map underneath is drawn from the same real map data that runs every poster on this site, at the scale the streets actually sit at. A busy inner-city corner reads as a dense web of streets inside the shape. A single road into a small town reads as a few lines, wide apart, inside the same heart.
You add your words under the map.
Below the heart you add your own line of text. Most couples use both names and the date, set as “Jack and Mia, 14 March 2019.” Some use a place name instead of a date, or the name of the bar where it happened. Others leave the line blank and let the shape carry it.
A title and a subtitle both sit under the shape, so the names and the date do not have to share one line. The text sits in the same serif type as every poster on the site, so it reads as part of the print.

The preview is the poster you get.
You search the address on the design page and confirm the pin sits where you want it. You pick a size and a colourway, and add your text.
The preview on screen is the finished poster, at full resolution, so what you approve is exactly what we print. There is no proof email to wait on. Change the crop or the wording as many times as you like before you order.
We print every poster to order on 200 gsm archival paper at 300 dpi. Where We First Met starts at A$75 for an unframed A3 print and runs to A$265 for a framed 24x36 inch print. Framed prints arrive ready to hang, in black, white, or natural timber. Unframed prints dispatch in 2 to 3 business days and framed prints in up to 7, with free shipping on Australian orders over A$150.
