Gift for a hiker
Give them the trail they finished.
You know the walk they will not stop talking about. Type its stops, upload their GPX file, or pick a trail we have already mapped.
We draw the exact line they walked.
A hiker who finished a big trail usually has the GPX file sitting in Strava, AllTrails, Gaia, or a GPS watch. Or they can list the towns and huts the route passed through from memory. Either one works. You type the names of the stops, or upload the file, and we draw the exact line they walked.
We do not smooth the route or simplify it into a neat curve. Switchbacks stay switchbacks, and the detour around the washed-out section stays on the map. Route accuracy is the point of the poster.
A few styles are built for a climb.
17 drawing styles and 19 colourways are available for a custom route. A constellation style turns the trip into a night sky, with stops as stars and the route threading between them, suited to a trek with named camps along the way.
A ridgeline style traces the elevation profile as a single skyline, with the summit marked at its height, for a route with real climbing in it. You preview any style and colourway before choosing one.
What you see is what prints.
Or pick a trail we already mapped.
If you do not have their GPX and cannot list the stops from memory, a route we have already mapped is the simpler gift. Everest Base Camp and the Overland Track are drawn from the real trek, ready to frame with no input from you.
Each one is drawn from the actual route on the ground, and ships as a finished product. A ready-made famous route starts at A$60, since there is no personalisation step behind it.
We print every poster to order on 200 gsm archival paper at 300 dpi. A custom route starts at A$75 for an unframed A3 print, and a ready-made famous route starts at A$60. Framed prints run from A$139 to A$265, in black, white, or natural timber, and arrive ready to hang.
The preview on the design page is the file we print from, so there is no proof email to wait on. Unframed prints dispatch in 2 to 3 business days and framed prints in up to 7, with free shipping on Australian orders over A$150. A digital file of either version is A$15, emailed in about 5 minutes.
