Your COROS watch records every outdoor workout with GPS, and the COROS app hands you that track as a GPX file. It takes three taps from the workout itself. The one place it will not come from is the bulk export on the COROS Training Hub website, and that is where most people go looking first.
Export one workout from the COROS app
- Open the workout in the COROS app on your phone.
- Tap the icon in the top right corner, then Export Data.
- Choose GPX.
The app offers other formats too, such as FIT. Pick GPX. It holds the line you travelled with a time on every point, which is what a map or a poster needs. COROS itself suggests GPX when you do not need heart rate data, and a poster does not use heart rate.
The catch: Training Hub bulk export is FIT or TCX only
COROS Training Hub, the website, has an Export Data button on the Activity List tab. It exports many workouts at once, but only as FIT or TCX files. Neither is a GPX. For the one workout you want on the wall, the phone app is the quicker path anyway.
Check the file before you use it
A good export is usually somewhere between a few hundred kilobytes and a few megabytes. A file of a few kilobytes almost always means the workout had no GPS track: a treadmill run, an indoor ride, a pool swim or a gym session. Those have no line to draw. If you recorded one day out as two workouts, export each and keep the one you want.
Turn the file into a poster
Upload the file on our activity poster page under Upload GPX. We draw the exact track your watch recorded and never smooth or simplify it, so a trail run keeps every switchback and a long ride keeps the detour to the cafe. The distance, moving time, elevation and date can print beside the route. You choose the title and the look, and you see the finished poster before you buy. Every print is made to order on 200 gsm art paper.
Use something else as well? We have guides for Strava, Garmin Connect and Komoot, AllTrails, Suunto and the Apple Watch, and our GPX export guide has every app in one place.
Questions people ask
My COROS syncs to Strava. Which should I export from?
Either works, because it is the same recording. If you use Strava, you can also connect your account on our activity page and skip the file. Our Strava export guide has the steps if you would rather download it.
Will the poster show my heart rate or pace?
No. The poster draws the line you travelled and prints the distance, moving time, elevation and date, each one optional.
Can I export a race from a year ago?
Yes. Every workout in the app's history exports the same way, however old it is.
